1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) programme is governed by the regulations of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
The course is structured into Three Professional phases, followed by a Compulsory Rotatory Internship of One Year, designed to impart comprehensive theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical exposure in Ayurveda
2. Assessment Pattern
- The Final University Examination conducted at the end of each Professional year shall be the Summative Assessment.
- A double valuation system shall be followed
- No provision for revaluation is permitted.
- University Practical/Clinical/Viva Voce examinations shall be conducted by two examiners:
- One Internal Examiner
- One External Examiner
- Internal Assessment (IA) and Elective marks shall be considered while declaring results, as per the prescribed marks distribution.

Induction Programme: 15 days (90 hours)
Remaining Teaching Hours: 1830

6. Compulsory Rotatory Internship
Duration: One Year
- Academic Qualification
- Internship shall commence after passing all Professional examinations and obtaining
- Provisional Degree Certificate
- Provisional Registration Certificate
- Academic Qualification
- Internship includes clinical training in:
- Ayurveda Teaching Hospital attached to the college
- Government / Recognised Hospitals
- Internship postings shall be conducted as per NCISM norms.
